At night I still see their faces
Scrambling over the concrete
Dragged away
By Citizen Leather,
Enchained,
Smoking out their rat-holes
With gas and brass.

They came from the sea
Big eyes wide and mouths agape
So hungry,
And nothing to feed them,
Forked tongues,
Speaking to their children
Underwater forever

The city underneath my dwelling
Hums alive
With the thrum of engines
Thundering through

its cabled veins.
Where nothing remains
From the ricin and lies.

They were not prepared for us.
All marched forward,
All had turned to dust.
We kept the promise to our leaders
Drown the victims, drown the children.
We poison:
the water.
Poison the food.
Poison the words used for weapons
When they’ve none themselves
They’re an empty vessel without context
No hope and no contact

Drive insane
From the sight of their numbers

Like rats walled in mortar

Screaming into the one-side void
nodding grinning in unison
All day.
Black noise like a beat
Club battery
